Program Against Poverty (RSG/PAP) is implemented in over 24 Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Lamjung District targeting the poorest looking for opportunities to raise their income level by engaging in small enterprises. This program has been most effective in including the poorest of the poor and to improve their living situations in an organized manner. COPPADES is known for being able to go to the poorest reaching the Dalits (traditionally regarded as so called low caste and even untouchables), women, women headed families, conflict affected families, HIV/AIDS affected families and other disadvantaged people bring to them hope and prospect for the future.

COPPADES takes the participants through a process of organization and awareness building so that they are free from the long drawn vicious cycle of poverty and unannounced slavery once and for all. This program is implemented in collaboration with the Trickle Up Program (TUP), New York USA. Trickle Up provides seed money to start the enterprise for the poorest while COPPADES brings them along on the path of empowerment and freedom.
